Cannock singer-songwriter Jordan Adams won the support of
megastar Sir Cliff Richard with his debut single Destiny. The single, released under the name
of Andy Stevens, was a Boyzone-styled ballad which was sold in aid of the Children's Promise
charity, in which Jordan not only wrote the song but organised the production and distribution
himself.
His first album, 'Do You Really Wanna Know Me', was released in 2000 and is a mix of cover
versions and origional tracks written by Jordan himself, whose style has been compared to the
likes of group's such as Savage Garden. The entire album was recorded at
MPM RECORDS over a number of weeks.
At the release of the first single from the album, a cover version of the 1980s hit All Out of
Love, Jordan said: "I've got as much chance of hitting the big time as anyone else
with this single, and everyone's very excited about it. MPM Records have worked very hard. It
isn't easy but it all depends on how determined you are, and I could get a signing from a
major record label in the next few months."
Jordan's words were true as he is currently signed to Universal Records. |
